SolidWorks 101

After evaluating the assigned prints Jag and I finished, we all headed over to TEC102, where we spent the rest of the evening. Today, the goal was to develop our CAD skills, since they will be important for months to come. Kass began with going over the big picture:
To make prosthetic hands, we have to learn how to 3D print. To 3D print, we have to learn how to slice a design. To slice a design, we have to have created or edited it with CAD - where it all begins. So, our main focus for the time being is learning how to model in SolidWorks.
After a productive evening, we managed to finish our first collective model: a rim.
